EU Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004
Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 is the fundamental EU framework governing all materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and pet‑food across European Economic Area member states.
It enforces three core principles:
- Packaging materials must be sufficiently inert, preventing harmful substance migration that would endanger health.
- No unacceptable change to food composition, odour or flavour caused by packaging materials.
- Full traceability across the whole supply chain from raw material to finished roll‑film and pouch.
Combined with GMP Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006, it governs every production step including laminating, printing and converting. Upon passing SGS migration and heavy‑metal testing, we provide official Declaration of Conformity (DoC) for customer customs and audit requirements.
